Our October Coffee Discovery Box is here! This month, we’re exploring delicious brews from Kōkako Coffee.
Kōkako has been roasting specialty coffee in Tāmaki Makaurau since its inception in 2001. With an unwavering commitment to sustainability, Kōkako only sources 100% Fairtrade and Organic certified beans, meaning you can feel good about what’s in your cup. Today, Kōkako supplies cafes, hotels, offices and homes around Aotearoa, whilst also raising money for the conservation of the North Island Kōkako.
After 25 years on the block they are a key player in the New Zealand coffee and hospitality scene and continue to grow their brand through great partnerships, fun merch, a dedicated team and delicious coffee of course!

Blend: Aotea Blend
Single Origin: Ethiopia Sidama
Decaf: Decaf Blend
Kōkako’s juicy house blend, suitable for all brew methods and 100% Fairtrade and Organic certified.
- Origins: Colombia, Sumatra and Honduras
- Tasting notes: Forest fruit, Cacao
- Medium roast
Kōkako’s latest Fairtrade Organic coffee comes from the Wottona Bultuma Cooperative in southern Ethiopia, a region known for fertile volcanic soil, a cool climate with ample rainfall.
- Light Roast
- Tasting notes: Rooibos tea, Grapefruit, Redcurrant
Sunshine in a cup, a delicious decaf for any time of the day. Best suited to espresso or plunger.
- Medium roast, swiss water process
- Origins: Ethiopia, Central America and Indonesia
- Tasting notes: Chocolate, Caramel and Citrus
